The dream of having your teeth fixed

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers allow us to change the color and shape of your teeth by bonding high-quality porcelain veneers to your natural teeth.

Porcelain and composite bonding are the most common veneer materials. Composite veneers are made of a resin that is shaped and bonded to a tooth to enhance the appearance. Porcelain veneers are usually made in a lab and are more resistant to staining, compared to other materials.

The preparation of veneers preserve the most amount of tooth structure, as very little needs to be removed.  They can improve the appearance of your teeth, and gum tissues respond well to dental veneers.  The color can be custom selected, and in the case of porcelain veneers they are stain resistant.

Typically, a veneer lasts approximately 5-10 years. They do not require any special care other than regular brushing, flossing, and visits to the prosthodontist. If they are properly cared for then they can last much longer. Professional cleanings every 6 months and yearly exams are highly recommended.

Implants

Implants allow us to replace troublesome teeth with healthy units that allow you to live life confidently on your terms!

Humans are “blessed” with 2 sets of teeth (baby teeth and adult/permanent teeth). When a single permanent tooth or multiple teeth are lost due to dental decay or gum disease, dental implants can now replace them as the 3rd set of fixed teeth! Dental implants can last a lifetime and can improve your appearance, your confidence, and your ability to eat the foods you like, and participate in an active lifestyle, without worrying about your teeth. Dental implants are made of titanium and can never get dental decay!

In general, the cost of replacing a single tooth with a dental implant is almost the same as replacing it with a regular fixed bridge. Dental implant treatment may qualify for some insurance coverage, but situations vary. The cost will vary by patient needs, bone quantity, and region. We will make an assessment based on your unique needs.

Unlike natural teeth, dental implants are not susceptible to dental disease such as decay; however, the health of the gums is vital to maintaining lasting implant success. Conscientious home care by the patient and regular professional cleanings and check-ups are essential elements for dental implant sustainability. Each patient is different, and success relies upon diagnosis and planning, medical history, and a variety of other factors.

Invisalign

Invisalign® are clear aligners that help straighten your teeth without the need for metal braces.

Your Invisalign Doctor will create a unique, digital treatment plan that maps out the exact movements of your teeth. Your Invisalign clear aligners are then designed to apply the right amount of force to the right place at the right time based on your plan. Your Invisalign Doctor will be with you every step of the way to monitor your progress and ensure your aligners fit correctly.

Invisalign Treatment starts with a consultation with an Invisalign-trained doctor. Your doctor will evaluate your smile and then map out a precise, customised digital treatment plan that showcases the step-by-step transformation of your smile. Once you approve your plan, your unique aligners will be created. You will wear each set of aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, changing to a new set of aligners every 1 to 2 weeks, as directed by your doctor. Each set of aligners will gently and gradually shift your teeth into place, according to your treatment plan, until you reach your beautiful new smile.

The best way to clean your aligners is by brushing and rinsing them in lukewarm water and using the Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or special cleaning tablets. It’s important that you brush your teeth after each meal before re-inserting your aligners to maintain good oral hygiene.

Resin Bondings
Utilizing high-quality resin bondings, we can mask discoloration, spots, and chips to help fix your smile!
Bonding is considered a cheaper cosmetic procedure than veneers or dental implants. This makes it a great choice for someone who needs to repair a broken tooth but doesn’t want to break the bank. Additionally, composite resin is a long-lasting and natural-looking substitute for a tooth.

The bonding material lasts between three and 10 years before needing to be touched up or replaced.

Whitening
We proudly use Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening for both in-office and at-home procedures to help your pearly whites shine!

Stains on teeth appear when colored molecules stick to the plaque, tartar, and the surface of our teeth.  Dental cleanings help remove plaque and tartar, but sometimes the stains still appear in the layer below called the dentin.  The bleaching solution applied to the teeth combines with oxygen from the air and carbon in the dentin to break apart the staining molecules stuck on the teeth.

Teeth whitening works best on teeth free of plaque and tartar.  Staying current on your dental cleanings is important for your health, but will also ensure the best possible results for whitening.  If you are due for a cleaning, you can schedule the dental cleaning and the teeth whitening on the same day.  The cleaning should be complete before the teeth whitening.

Teeth whitening can cause sensitivity to the teeth and gums.  Some patients experience little to no sensitivity, while other patients may need to limit the strength and time of the bleaching to avoid sensitivity.  Speak to your dentist about ways to avoid sensitivity and always have the procedure performed by a licensed professional.

Your dentist may recommend a special toothpaste to use prior to and after the procedure, as well as suggest only certain types of whitening.  If you do experience sensitivity after treatment, an OTC pain reliever can usually help to reduce the symptoms.
